Monday night at the meet-and-greet at Gene Lynn's for Missouri attorney general candidate Margaret Donnelly, people elected to start the election party one night early. The joint was jumping, with a large, black crowd summoned by hosts Darlene Green, Ronnie White and Jerryl Christmas, which is a pretty good African-American A-list at the city (comptroller), state (former Supreme Court justice) and federal (U.S. senatorial operative) levels. Donnelly had to leave that party feeling like the black community in St. Louis has her back.

Rep. Donnelly is traveling the State of Missouri meeting with local prosecutors and sheriffs and developing initiatives to improve public safety.

Product Safety
To keep unsafe toys out of the hands of children, Rep. Donnelly has introduced HB 1361, the Children’s Product Safety Act. HB 1361 bans the sale of unsafe children’s products in Missouri. It requires manufacturers and retailers to remove unsafe children’s products from store shelves within 3 days or face penalties for not doing so. The law would also empower the attorney general and local prosecutors to enforce its provisions.
